Lifeline

One of the most convenient services that Oxford HealthCare provides is also one of the most reassuring. Lifeline, the #1 medical alert system, allows patients immediate access to the help they need.
Lifeline is a medical alert system that allows an individual to wear a personal help button, which can be pressed if help is needed. This activates a call to a Personal Response Associate who accesses personal information, contacts the individual and sends the appropriate help. Oxford’s system is unique in that the Lifeline calls are monitored locally rather than through a national call center, and personnel also have ongoing contact with the individuals on service.
Oxford’s Lifeline program is the longest running in the area. With more than 700 people using the service, this is the only Lifeline program in which the calls are answered locally. Oxford’s Lifeline service is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing quick access to the care patients may need.
With Lifeline, patients and families receive the reassurance of prompt personal care, yet they are allowed the freedom of an independent lifestyle. Lifeline offers Oxford patients help when they need it and peace of mind knowing that help is available any time with just the press of a button.
